cimco edit lag

Hey guys, just recently (just before Christmas) I noticed my editor taking sometimes a long time to open after posting a job. Can take sometimes up to 45 secs. Other times its fine. Very random. Any ideas what may be doing it? Mastercam X6 MU3. It is installed on the local computer but the files are on the network. However it still does it even if the file is saved locally.

anti-virus programs sometimes will hang it up for a while. See if you can temporarily turn off your AV and see if it helps.

Nah, that didn't work. It is not just my computer. We have a network license. It is happening on everyones computer.

If you have your nethasp.ini modified (other than default)

 

Just copy it C:\Program Files\mcamx7\nethasp.ini to the cimco edit folder C:\Program Files\mcamx7\common\Editors\CIMCOEdit6

Open the nethasp.ini file with notepad and make sure it has the IP address for your server.

It miight be that CimcoEdit is looking for the liicense using a chook or something. Mastercam will not look all thetime for the licnese so Cimco does not get the info that quick.

You can get free of charge a license file for NetHahsp when sending Cimco or your dealer your SIM number. They will send a license file. Then it works without any waiting.
