Mazak 6T Lathe - Error 547 using RS232

I have a colleague with a Mazak 6T Lathe, who is trying to send a programme from Cimco Edit to this lathe. When sending, the Mazak control alarms up with Error 547. The control is a T-Plus Control.

 

Does anyone here have any experience with this particular machine/error?

Does the machine have the ISO option?

 

Most earlier Mazak lathes ran Mazatrol only, ISO option needed to be purchased to be able to use G-Code.

On those machines the error was produced when sending the file into the control; and was somewhat ambiguous IIRC.

It does have the ISO option. He has tried a number of different program header formats, but nothing seems to work

Typically caused by parameters. Several to look at....baud rate, parity, stop bits...etc..

 

Another thing to look at. Make sure there is no % in the heading of the program and also no spaces.
