open a .MC7 file?

Hi,

I'm trying to open a customer .MC7 file.

It defaults to open with X4 to no avail

when I rename it, it opens with nothing in it.

something in the path?

It's a Version 7 file. Support for that was lost several versions ago. I think X and maybe X1 could still open 7 files, but I doubt anything later than that will. If I can find my X install disk I can try to get it installed and saved to at least X. I have 9 design at home, but I don't know if it'll bring in the toolpaths. I know X4 will open 9.

Send it to CNC, i am sure they would be happy to convert it to a newer version for you.

what version would you like it saved to?

X5 is the oldest X version I have installed

Here you go from V7 to V9 to X7

If you're running a nethasp, you can run V9 .. if you can find install discs
