Looking for Right Angle Head for Hass VMC

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I am looking for a Right Angle Head for Hass VMC, have seen many on the web but looking for a more substantial model also has to run at 4000rpm.

We cut quartz glass slotted rods with Ø200 x 2mm diamond tools so low vibration is a must, any help very much appreciated.

We have a Right angle head on our Fadal looking for similar see attached picture.

Regards

JimP from bonnie Scotland

Well you run into that age old problem with older equipment. Do you tear what you have apart and reverse engineer it to make your own? Do you try to find a suitable replacement? Do you go in a whole different direction with a different piece of equipment? Going to come down to your budget and where the company thinks it wants to go with it's future. Big Kasier or Kowa are a couple that come to might that might offer you a solution.

I can tell it is flange mount right angle head set up and not an ATC so that should start your search. May have to make the adapter plate from the Fadal to their heads, or pay them to do it. Hopefully you find what you need. Best of luck in your search.
