I am looking for someone who has the same set up as mine. I have an Bridgeport EZ Trak mill and MasterCam v7.2 . I know the communications are as follows: Comm:1 Baud:9600 Data: 8 level Stop bits: 2 Parity: none. The mill wants it program to be in .txt or .pgr files. MasterCam sends nc files and I can't get it to read this. How do I convert this or can I? How can I send a MasterCam file to the mill and get it to run? Help!!!

If the file is post processed as G and M code and not EZ-Track language, I believe that it wants to see a TXT extension. If you can use the floppy drive on the EZ-Track, copy the file to the floppy with a TXT extension. Then select Copy All Other Files to EZ-Track from the EZ-Track screen and select Run. Use F4 on the EZ-Track to display TXT file. Hope this helps.

I am using MasterCam v7.2 and i'm trying to get it to talk with my Bridgeport EZ Trak milling machine. It wants me to have an .pgm file to receive a file from Master Cam. renaming the file from 1234.nc to 1234.pgm does not work. The Bridgeport wants a file such as C:PGMFILES1234.PGM and MasterCam sends a file called C:mill721234.pgm. How do I change this? There is no way to change what is in the Bridgeport as I can see. Any suggestions?

Create a map "C:PGMFILES"

Go to your Mill.cfg, [data paths]

414. NC program data path? c:pgmfiles

Go to your PST - file

search sextnc

sextnc .PGM # NC Program extension
