X8 Simulator (Slow)

Hi, I skipped MCX7 so went straight from 6 to 8. Im finding the new Simulator very slow to machine the components. Im doing some pretty complex turbines using the blade expert add-on but it is just SOOOOOO slow on verification. I had a word with my I.T. guy and he had upgraded my computer now so Im running AMD FX-9590 Eight-Core Processor (4.69 GHz) with 16GB of RAM and The Nvidia Quardo Graphics card with 1024MB dedicated. Now this should be enough, but its still slow!

 

Any help or advice please, its driving me nuts!

Turn the speed up, the the precision down

 

Use Accurate Zoom to zoom in on area that you want to check more closely

I up graded to 16gb of ram and thinking I still need more!!!! It is faster if I stop working in MC. It is nice to be able to continue to program during verify!!!

Thanks JParis, ive tried that and it is faster but it looks xxxx! The Accurate Zoom is good but on the old MCX you didn't need that it just worked!

I follow this new process quite a bit now. I have my stock model on the screen using Verisurf's Reverse Module making it translucent and I am seeing so much more for programming than I ever have in previous versions.

 

Be great when levels and other things are finally supported in the new verify and backplot.
