cutter comp help again

Gentlemen,

Can some one take a look at the attached file?  I think it's obvious what I'm wanting to do... and it's simple in my last programming life.  However, I just haven't had to do this yet in the time I've used Mcam.  In my formerly used software I would do exactly as in the sample file.  However, in mcam it cans the cc on the projected pass.

I need to chase the radius with a ball mill while having cc for the .0005 tolerance.

Thanks!

Forget about using surface finish project. Use your contour operation, and select the edge along the bottom of the radiius (where the tip of your tool should be) In your cut parameters, set contour type to 3D (only visible when you have 3d geometry chained) and the set yout top of stock to 0.0 incremental.

Chaining the edge of the radius and using tip to center works, but if you ask me your better off chaining the edge of the radius and then leaving tip compensation set to tip and then modify your stock to leave value on Z by the amount of your radius.

Doing it this wat you can still have all your tools touched off on the tip and not have on operator scrap a part every time they run the job cause it had to be touched off differently than all the other tools.
