Bringing in mc9 files to Mastercam 8

We are currently are using Master Cam 8 for our Programming but we have many files that were saved in different versions of MC. When bringing in .mc9 files that are utilizing WCS they are coming in corrupted. The GEO is in different views and planes. When we open with MasterCam 6 or 7 and then save the files to that version the files come in fine. Is there a setting that we can use to bring in the older .mc9 files to MasterCam 8 so we don't have an issue or do we have to step forward one Version at a time

V6 & V7 files will have to be saved forward to at least V8 before that can be opened in X8

 

No way around it that I know. Earlier versions of X could, IIRC, open them but that ability was lost as X progressed and could not longer support them

 

This is X9 but X8 has the same file open abilities

i bring V9 files into X9 with a dozen different WCS without problems, sounds like there may be something up with the original file
