We currently have a dmg dmu 5th axis and every time i do a 5th axis routine , any walls that have no curvature to them have gouges in them.

I am currently new to 5 axis machining, i was wondering if anybody could take a look at my parameters and see something im not,any help would be appreciated. (had to increase the step down to .025 to  shrink the file size, had it at .01 step down)

Thanks

From my experience i find the Triangular Mesh path is one of my least favorite multi-axis paths. Its still a good path so i am not bashing it but I almost always lean toward the Morph between curve path. its applied very similarly to the triangular mesh you already have but you will just need to create a loop of edge curves on the top profile and a loop of edge curves on the bottom profile. The morph is a pretty Praised after toolpath though that has a lot of popularity for its ease of use and great results.

Here's an option, I tried a couple of different things but didn't like the results

I used a Waterline tool path, which you can dial in to give you a very nice finish on the walls

Then used the Convert to 5 axis option, made sure to set the collision checking and using the Tilt to Avoid collisions options gets it around the corners and inner rads quite nicely
