Section View

Hi

 

Much time ago, I saw that somebody did a section view in Mastercam for probe if the model was surface or solid, I think was MCX5

 

I'd like to know how can I do a section view, Somebody know about this?

maybe they were running MC4SW?

'cause solidworks has a easy sectioning feature.

We use Solid layout. This gives you sectional views within mastercam..

You can do it easily in verify if you only want to look at it. If I need to make section views to print I will select my solid, right click the level button in the lower right corner, click the copy radio button, pick a level, green check. Now create one simple cut geo and cut the solid to make the section you want. Name the viewsheets section 1 etc. Use model prep to paint the faces of the section so its obvious its a section. Takes me about as much time as it takes verify to load. Click on the viewsheet when ever you want to see it.
