How do I write a program for a Haas VF3 mill, that makes the z axis repetitively just push down in one location, without going home or rotating the spindle? I have a polyurethane bumper I make and it has a slot thru it to add some cushion,my customer says the bumper is cracking at the ends of the slot after time. We have no way to test a new mix we want to use,so my boss had me built a fixture that holds one bumper in the spindle and the other in the vise, the he wants me to have the machine costly just push the two together to see if and when it fails. I figured out how to program the Haas to repetitively push the two together, without sending the axis home every time, but the spindle keeps orienting.Do I get rid of the M6,even thou it has the proper tool # for the length offset? Have to get rid of the orient.

Spindle is orienting because of the M6...M19 would orient the spindle as well.

You could simply handwheel to the part.

Move up in Z an inch or so and program like so

G91 G01 Z-1.0 F100.0

G00 Z1.0

G99

This will loop forever, feeding down at 100 inches per min and rapiding up 1 inch and repeat.

Keep this in mind: your Haas machine is not designed to be used as "bumper testing device". By using your spindle in such a manner, you risk damaging the spindle bearings, by pressing the balls into the races at a single point. You risk creating "indents" where the balls are contacting the races.

If you go forward with doing this test, and you put more than a few "cycles" on the machine, be prepared for the spindle to fail prematurely.
