Doosan Mynx 7500 Random tools

Is there a way to change the parameters in the Doosan so we can get rid of random tools?  We would like to match up the pocket and tools...

it would probably be keep relay setting if it had the ability. Some builders let you set large tools so it uses a fixed pot for a large diameter tool to allow clearance of adjacent tools in the magazine and that is usually done in the tool table that tracks tool # & pot # where you could set them all to fixed pot however you do realize the machine will need to do 2 tool changes for each tool??

Well... one of the older guys (a dinosaur) wants to do it, he doesn't realize it would add time.

 

I like the random tools as it is and its fine the way it is. Been running random for 11.5 years now and neither style bothers me all that much.

 

I guess some people don't like it so the next time he brings it up, i'll just tell him to "suck it up buttercup".

Hello. As an Applications Engineer for Doosan Machine Tools, the answer to this question is NO. And why would you want to? There is no advantage to using a dedicated numbering system. I wished all machines used random tool pocketing. Big time saver. Use the tool monitoring page and you can instantly tell what tool is in what pocket.
