Creating Circles and Points

Recommended Posts

I seem to remember a way to window an array of points and having a circle of a given diameter drawn at those points. Conversely a way to window an array of circles or arcs and have the center points created. But I dont remember how to do either. Anyone?

Thanks,

Andy

I have a C-Hook that will create points at the centers of closed arcs at the depth that the chosen centerdrill will produce.

Drillpt.dll - V8

--

Creates points at the center of all full circles (arcs with a sweep of +/-360 degrees) that match the main color. Each point is created at the same depth as the corresponding circle.

pts2arcs.dll - V7

--

Given a radius and a set of point entities (selected via general selection), create circles centered at each point.

Copied pts2arcs.dll from V7 to V8 and it happened to work. This C-Hook is available on "The [Almost] Definitive C-Hooks List" for V7:

Andy, Sorry about the slow response. You are right. I is not on 8.0 I have 8.1 standard install. I am not sure what you are trying to do. If you are trying to do a drill cycle. You can use the window when you are making the program and tell it to mask on arcs. You will be able to use a tolerance to pick what size arcs you would like to window. If you need more info. Let me know. Hope this helps......
