Mastercam SP2

Hello

Ever Since I have installed service pack 2 when I pull up any file now it automatically turns TPLANE on and goes to some funky GVIEW and rotates the part to that view. Is there a way to stop that from happening it's really annoying.

Yep !!!

In Screen ->configure->Start/Exit :::>

Look at Default construction plane settings and at Update Cplane and Tplane when changing Gview settings .

Also look at Screen ->configure->Start/Exit :::>

Screen ->Default Viewports(configuration )

I recommend settings like 1 ... 1,7,2,5

I tried both of those settings and it is still turning Tplane to on and going to gview 174 and skewing the part to some wierd view. Actually all my settings were good except I had it on 3d instead of top so I changed that and that did not change the problem.

 

Any Other Ideas?

Not to sure Shawn. was this a fresh install of SP2 CD? almost sounds like a WCS twisted view thing or something. Is the WCS active in these files you are loading?? maybe someone has an answer for ya. Im out of guesses

I think your right the WCS has something to do with it. I really don't use WCS as I think its a pain in xxxx but you probably have to get use to it. I will look at those other settings and give that a try.

Perhaps it's reverting to a position relative to the last position saved?

 

Have you tried saving in ... say ... Top View?

Also once you have sp2 sometimes

your operations will come in Dirty

the next time you open your file.

 

I am in the habit of locking them

Once there Gold, especially when I have

Yes James I save them in top or iso whatever and it does not matter it still comes in funky the next time I open it. It does not seem to matter what I save it in top side ect ect.

I tried the

Reset cplane/Tplane when changing WCS &

Update graphics view when changin` WCS

And that seems to do the trick after I resave the file and then pull it back up it has stopped rotating the file Thank You Very much for the help. I will try that on the next few files and see how she goes.

Shawn,

 

There is a WCS Tutorial floating around. Even if you don't go through them, reading the Document will help you get acclimated to it.
