Work offset warning

When using the Tool Plane window to select the origin or work offset for a different tool on the same workpiece, an annoying warning window pops up reminding me it has already been assigned. Is there a way to supress this? I am using V8.1. I did a search, but couldn't find anything in past threads.

you usually get that message,when you use 2 different tool plane,with the same work offsett.just change, your work offsett #.

There is no way (that I know of) to disable the warning. You can get around the problem by editing the post so that the work offset is handled differently (misc integers) and leave the work offset in the t/c plane window at -1.

How about the people that find this "Oh crap! I used the same work offset number on more than one tool origin! Thank (your) God that this warning came up or I wooda scrapped this $25,000 part!" warning message helpful?

Kinda hard to make evryone happy, although there are a lot of annoying warnings that can be suppressed by enabling the "Suppress associativity warning messages" check box in your screen configuration's NC settings. Unfortunately, the work offset message is not one of them suppressed.

Maybe they should start putting in other "Don't show this message again" check boxes like other programs seem to have. I don't know how hard it is to do....
