mastercam axis limits?

hi wondering if there is any way to set the axis travel limits , so there is some type of warning ? I set the travel limits in the machine definition for X and Y  , and then created a tool path that went past those set,  and there was nothing ?   the only one I know of is in machine simulation ?

What toolpath are you using? The Moduelworks toolpaths have limits in them, but they are tired to the world coordinates so I find it best to use a line at the middle of the limits relative to the plane I am working on and then I have the specific control for limits based on the plane and not the world. The old school toolpaths do have limits also, but I have really never used them. They are worth checking into and seeing if they will help you. Remember Mastercam is not Kinematic aware when making MultiAxis toolpaths. The programmer has to do all the thinking and work all of this out while programming the parts.
