Hardinge/Fanuc 18i Sub Spindle Lathe Axis Configuration

Hi there,

Has anyone here programmed a Hardinge Fanuc 18i sub spindle lathe?

If so, how is the sub spindle origin defined, and how is this programmed in Mastercam? Also, is Z+ away from the sub spindle, or towards it?

I'm trying to assist a customer, and the machine supplier isn't being much help :(

Mike,

Check your email. I sent you an operators manual for a Hardinge Sub-Spindle lathe.

Thanks Doug. The manual you sent is for that exact model (GS250 MSY), so that will be an immense help. They sure seem to be programmed a little differently :)
