2018 SIDE BY SIDE 2017 Control Def issue

Just got around to installing 2018 side by side with 2017, copied , backed up and Updated all the posts to 2018. (keeping the 2017 untouched)

When I open some 2017 files with 2018 it immediately wants to update the Control def. it asks this twice.

It also locks up when you attempt to manually change to a 2018 post, (after the 2 prompts)

No I do not want to update the 2017 because we are still using it atm,

Not all the posts do this. And after opening we can change to a 2018 post with no problems.   Anyone else get this?
