R output for circular move

It's been a long time.  I have tried finding with the forum search function but no luck..  Our little machine must have a "R" output with "G2/G3" it will not accept "IJK".

Anyone able to tell me where to set this, in control def, machine def, or in post.. We are using a MPFAN post for the little machine..  Thank you if you can help..

That's going to be handled by the Format Statements in your post....

#Default english/metric position format statements
fs2 1   0.7 0.6      #Decimal, absolute, 7 place, default for initialize (:)

the l & t that you see tagged on to some statements forces out the leading(l) & trailing(t) zeros

Find the varaiables you need to change and update their definition

Change the value on the variable

fmt = format

" " = Variable assigned letter in parenthesis

numeric value = fs statement output

name = variable defined name

 

If you need an output that does not exist, you can create a new one, I'll use arcrad$ as an example...

fmt  "R" 2  arcrad$     #Arc Radius

Right now it is defined as 2 output

fs2 2   0.4 0.3      #Decimal, absolute, 4/3 place

Perhaps you need that output but with leading and training zeros....as you don't want to change the fs statement becasue that will change all output on all varaiables that use it and that kind of output does not currently exist.....you can make it..

Reading the list, you can see fs22 is the final statement....so we will make a new version of fs2 called fs 23

You can see the new fs23 listed......now you could change arcdar$ to use that new output

fmt  "R" 23  arcrad$     #Arc Radius

THat will change the output cose now based on the fs23 statement.
