Multiaxis Mill & Roll Transform

Hi guys,

Newbie here, using Mastercam 2018,  I've got a set of ~100 parts to machine which are a repeated pattern wrapped around different radii, which is proving to be time consuming.

Now my problem is, I could assign toolpaths and use axis subsitution with a 2D contour, but I need to use multiaxis toolpaths because I need to add a side tilt to one operation. And using Roll under the Transform menu breaks the association between the Op and geometry.

Is there any way I can assign the toolpaths to the geometry once and then wrap it around the different radii, while using 5-axis toolpaths?

Thanks in advance!

Several of the "newer" 5X Paths have a "Rotation" option built into them. These are the "ModuleWorks" paths.

I don't believe it will allow you simply "change the radius". You can "repeat" the same cut, by rotating it around an axis, but the "radial" location of the "cut" would remain constant. You'd need "new geometry" with a different "radial location" from the centerline of the rotary axis. Still, once you get your Toolpath Operations setup to cut the "way you like to cut", it should be a simple matter to copy/paste, or Import the Operations, and assign new Geometry to them.
