how to unroll a curved sheet metal part?

I have an aircraft part that has a slight curve.  The part is .1 thick,  55" long, and has about .15 dip in the center.   We do we were hoping to cut it out of flat plat.  There is another part that is attached to it that will give it the curve.  I have seen surface flat chook but that untrims the surface so that won't work.  Any ideas?

I  use solidwork to unroll sheet metal.

have you messed with transform/roll with unroll checked?

 Iv'e used it on cylindrical parts to unroll a wireframe into a flat wire frame. worked good

Best unroll and flattening tool I know is called TopSolid... Great for cylindrical parts but also sheet metal...

there is a map.dll . I used it way back in V9 . it's a very interesting c-hook .  I justt checked if it was still around and yes it is still there.
