FBM mill crashing

We have been unable to use FBM.  

When we attempt to use it, it crashes our desktop. 

Our mastercam rep programmed our part in FBM mill and sent it to us.  We can open it.  When we click into parameters........it crashes. 

it has been pulling up a Microsoft box pertaining to excel. 

 

Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

I suspect permission issues or using a sub par system to do this on.

We are confident with our desktop, but it is not out of the question.  

What kind of permissions?

What is the video card? How much memory? What is the OS? What are the UAC setting? Have you tried changing the icon to run the program as administrator?

we went through all those topics as well.  in the end my coworker and I noticed a flicker of another box prompt.  looking into that we discovered mastercam 18 was looking for Microsoft office excel.  don't know why.  our mastercam rep did not know either.  we installed excel, and it solved our problem.
