Help with generic fadal

Recommended Posts

Any buddy know how to turn off the A output on the generic fadal 4 axis? I thought it might be the "rot_on_x" but turning that to 0 did not help. The fadal we still have in the shop has a trunion on it but we have to use M20, if memory serves me correctly to activate a rotary move. I would love to modify this post to output the M20 but for know I will be happy just to turn it into a 3 axis post.. lol Im trying hard to learn this post stuff but by the time I get home from work my brain is fried. I have all the literature and even my eapprentace account, but this stuff does not come easy to me. I'm like Kelly Bundy, in order to learn something new I have to forget something else... Its like my hard drive is full... lol either way thank you for any guidance.

I always use Mpmaster for my mill posts and then you just set up 3 axis MD/CD and it ignores the 4th axis and its associated logic.

Don't know if this will work on the "CNC Generics",........ just had a quick look at Fadal Format 2 4 axis and it looks like that will work at least for the one I looked at. Rotary settings are read from the MD/CD .
