Converting Ideas files

Hello All

We need to be able to import files from Ideas and keep original surface colors.

The customer is using color as a guide to specific detail on the model.

We do not have solids but would this help.

Tryed many iges flavors with no luck.

Would step work if we had the translator and is there a Ideas translator for Mcam.

Thanks in advance

I have a customer who sends me IGES from IDEAS all the time, and I believe they have different colours for different features. The problem I have is they come in as splines, so I have to modify-convert to arcs-all splines and then I'm ready to go.

I also do not have solids, Mill level 1 V9.1 SP2.

Can you try to send me the file, and if you like I could send you one of my customers files and see if you can import that properly.
