Has anyone played around with the parameters in the GI control.

We are trying to machine parts faster but the control is not allowing machine to reach programmed feed rates. The parts have a reasonably loose tolerance so if we can relax GI control parameters cycle time should come down a little.

Cheers

there are two sets of parameters for cutting feedrates. the first is the maximum cut rate without look ahead on, and the second is the max cut fate with look ahead on, please check that these parameters are set correctly. By the way are you sure the machine is capable of the speeds you want?

Also make sure the is no tool change subprogram that turns off lookahead
