File --> Configuration --> Colors --> Background Gradient Start / Background Gradient end.

If you do not want to use 2 colors with Gradient and want just 1 background color set the Gradient background direction at the bottom of the colors page to None.

Oh, yea, and my favorite setting on that page to change is to turn off is the Check box "use group and result color" so i don't have to deal with clear colors anymore so while you are on the colors page if you don't like clearing colors you can turn that off too if you want.
