Good Day,

 

I am getting a error posting, trying to mill a

feature from a side Cplane, and trying to produce an "B90" output... I have changed rot_on_x to 2,

(about the Y ) do I need anything else...

( 9.1 SP2 uning Mpfan )

Good Day,

 

VMC to 0 is for horizontal

The royary table is mounted at the back

of the mill table. Tombstone pointing out...

is this rotating around the Y axis

cplane side is only valid as an index from front, around system z. this would be if you set it to vmc:0. if you want to program as vmc:1 with index around y, you need to make a plane for the right and left side.

 

if you go to iso view and set you cplane to side, press alt-F9 and you'll see the 3 plane indicators. the cent one is the world, the lower left the cplane, lower right the tplane. if you compare the world to the cplane, you can see that the cplane Y doesn't follow the system Y. this means it would have to be a 5 axis index to get to that position.

 

while in the side cplane, you can do a cplane-rotate-about Z and create a plane that has the Y axis following the system Y. if you get lost, give the office a call.
