I cannot open Solidworks 2011 *.sldprt in Mastercam X5. There seems to be a missing *.dll in mastercam X5. Can anyone help?

I cannot open Solidworks 2011 *.sldprt in Mastercam X5. There seems to be a missing *.dll in mastercam X5. Can anyone help?

 

 

There is a DLL that we install that sometimes conflicts with the version of it that SolidWorks installs. That might be the problem - if you've got SW installed.

 

It's name is SWDocumentMgr.DLL and we install it into Common\SWorksData underneath your Mastercam X5 install folder. If you re-register it with REGSVR32, you should be good to go.

 

cd C:\Program Files\McamX5\Common\SWorksData (or whatever that path is)

regsvr32 SWDocumentMgr.DLL
