  1. Hi! I get a e-mail from Peter Scott, i have been busy and did not now all the fuss her on the forum. I am not new on the forum, (don`t now when i startet reding it,bot i have been useing Mc from V3). So i now 99,9% in her is very nise and helpfull guys and some are very skild, and dont call me ore anyone else a "moron" I now my writing is bad,but i understand quit well. So i stay with reading, and let the guy`s who knows have to spell do the writing. Got the new driver from the dell support site, and it woorks fine. Tanks for all the support guys! Ketil
  2. Hi! . Wonder what driver to use on my Dell M60, NVIDA Quadro FX1000 (driver 5.3.8.1) I have a problem whid my grafik, have to turn down the aksl too min to start MC. The message when i try to start MC: nvidea opengl driver Driver component sizes mis-match. Ketil
  3. Hi! You have to save the file as a mc8-file(in mc9), to get it back to mc8. (File-convert-next menu-saveas mc8). Have you run the c-hook "Updatepst9.dll" ?
  4. Hi I have done a test and i have no problem first time i scale and regen. If you want to put a file on the ftp i do a test on it.
  5. Hi This is may be a stupid proposal, but remember to use "move" when you scale (not "Copy" and delete, blank or somting like that).
  6. Hi I would use a ball mill(the smallest i can find is dia. 3mm R0.15mm ), but R0.08mm??? if you use a flatendmill and you have gap 0.05mm i belive it would vill be 0.05mm radius after E.D.M ? 0.03mm wrong??. What are you making??, i call R0.08 a sharp corner. Now i am going home for the weekend .
  7. Hi ! I am also wondering how to scale a file and get a constant gap?. I always use graphite in my electrode (easy to cut), but the principle is the same. I try too use a spher mill or a bull mill, then you can set the stock to leave to negative (-0.05mm). If you like to use a flat endmill(10.0mm) try to define a new tool (9.9mm)but remember to move the z.axis -0.05mm in the mill. This method is not precise.
  8. Hi I got this message som times,it is probably something wrong with a surface. Try to: analyse-surfase-(check model and test norms). Or you can put the file on the ftp,(with the toolpath) so we can take a look at it.
  9. Hi Kerry I put my post to a heidenhein 426 on the ftp (mpheid5.pst). It is in metric, and i don`t use a tool changer ,so it may be of no use to you.
  10. Hello Greg ! I allways put all toolpats that i want in the same program, in the same operation group, then you can pick the hole grup, just one or as many as you like by marking the toolpats you want`s in the program.
  11. Hello Yes Christian i has tried to set one low and one high (128mb and 512mb), don`t work . The resond i tried all this ram , is that i have frends using UG. , they say the higer the ram is the bether (faster). Thank`s enyway for the respond
  12. Hello I have alot of ram(1280mb) but when i try to set the database and toolpaht allocation higer than 490000(490mb) i get error. Database = Reallocation error Toolpath = Error allocating memory for toolpath functions. Warning - toolpath allocation is to low. Is this(490mb) the max ram Mastercam can handle??. I work with very large moddels so the toolpath take often over 2houers , thats why i try with all that ram. I have been reading the forum a year now, but this is my first post , the reason for this is that i dont write english so good. So pleas forgive me my language. By the way i have been using Mastercam 12-13years?, started whith ver. 3.1 now i have mill 8.1.1 , soon V9 i hope?. Ketil Stabil Verktøyindustri A/S NORWAY
