  1. The referee most probably supported the home team.look how South Korea managed to score a goal minutes later after only 2 Portuguese players were sent off!in the Italy vs South Korea ,also after the Italian player was sent off do they managed to score a goal!and that was the player who had missed the penalty in the early part of the game, most probably to save his job in Italy, but in the end he has to score a goal for his country,or else they will call him a traitor!as for the italian coach who sacked this player,he,s a fascist!
  2. the world's greatest sporting event right now is the football world cup!don't anybody know that?even the U.S.A have got a chance to enter the second round of this tournament.they even beat Potugal, one of the favourites!they managed to hold South Korea to a one-all draw.South Korea and Japan are the co-hosts.but there seemed no interest or excitement in this part of the world!even though the U.S caused a major upset by defeating Portugal!
  3. but i see a problem for cutting electrodes using flat endmill and negative stock for cutting surfaces,it says it,s not allowed!there are previous threads related to this>can anybody enlighten me on this?
  4. in 2D pocketing, using parallel spiral, finish parameter with tool down, sometimes an island got cut off.anybody have such an experience?
  5. i do not understand millturn's answer-set depth limits so as not to go over the whole surface again
  6. It doesn't matter all i want to know is whether it's a correct procedure to do parrallel mach with flat endmill after all i am milling copper electrodes.
  7. i wonder can we use a flat endmill to do surface parrallel machining?bcos i'd want a sharp or small radii between floors and walls of surfaces as a ballnose cutter will produce a big radius bet wall and floor.i wonder is it possible.thanks
  8. in surface contour,when i select filtering,after posting,sometimes i get G18 or G19 in program,is it possible?afterall surface contour is z-level incremental cutting,will it gouge my work?
  9. After much deliberation,i found that the method suggested by Mr Jerry Bichsel gives the best results in terms of simplicity and accuracy, there is no need to offset the z-axis or compensate the cutter size to suit or those annoying warnings by Mastercam for using -ve stock value! Thanks a lot!
  10. Mr. Greg, So in order to use a flat endmill to mill on multisurface of sharp corners or small radii(r0.1,r0.2,r0.3),eg spark gap 0.05mm,we input 9.9 dia.R0.01 in the parameter page of surface machining,is that correct? So in general we just need to D-2(spark gap),R0.01(is the radius the same for different spark gaps?).I hope you could enlighten me on this.thanks
  11. but the trouble is,if you are milling multisurfaces, with lots of pocket depths as well as tapered angles with a small radius at the bottom of each pocket depths e.g r=0.2,0.1,0.3,what type of cutters are you going to use?ball-nose?flatendmill(remember can't specify negative stock in parameters or else resetted),bullnose?if you use flatendmill and gave it a smaller dia.eg.(9.9)for spark gap -0.05 of nominal dia. 10 mm.,then how about a small radius r0.2,r0.25,r0.08etc.it is rather not precise.
  12. Mr. Cadcam, how do you scale a drawing for spark gap of 0.05 mm?i have tried that but it's not accurate.and what is a dunker??
  13. i wonder anybody knows how to mill the flat surfaces of all the steps of a 3d electrode by leaving spark gaps on all flat surfaces of steps without having to do a 2d contour.can't use a flat endmill cos negative stock not allowed for a flat endmill!a surface contour won't work, bcos of flat surfaces doesn't leave a negative stock.it seems mastercam don't have much literature on milling copper electrodes.
  14. rsbeadle, i pity you having to use a 266mhz computer .we actually use that for dnc usage.a pentium 4 would be fine,it's not that expensive!i am using a p3 733mhz at home for fun!
  15. but Mr. Dave Thomson i was instaling on ver 8.11!it still didn't work.i guess there is something wrong with the patch?
