  1. CMR & Co, many thanks. We may cut over 100 c'bored holes in a sheet and the motion from my earlier attempts was unneccessary.
  2. CMR, So how do you set the two different depths of cut? Slow learner.
  3. thanks in advance for your sharing your experience.
  4. Roger, Being a new guy at this, I'm afraid that I don't understand. Can you describe the keystrokes needed so that it will drill and c'bore one hole without retracting? Thanks again. Albert FWIW, this would be a good thing to add for X.
  5. CMR- Could you please describe what ultimately worked best for you. I've been trying to accomplish what you set out to do: two steps in the same operation to eliminate travel. Please elaborate and thanks also for bringing up the question. http://www.emastercam.com/ubb/icons/icon13.gif Icon 13
  6. Rob, what a difference a little switch called "Use cursor position for manual selection" can make. With it on, it has been a guessing game as to which side the toolpath would result. This helps a lot. Thanks. much.
  7. I'm amazed how difficult it is to simply have the tool patch climb cut or convention cut to either the inside or the outside of the profile. It should be easy to make pick these two option sets and then select the geometry. Instead, MCAM's approach is effectivly a crap shoot. You don't know on what side the geometries will be located. Is there a simpler approach?
  8. I think I answered my own question. The Alt T tip also works when Ops Manager is closed and the user is at the Toolpaths menu tree. Funny it doesn't work all of the time.
  9. Now I feel really dumb for having to ask, but how do I "Back out" of the Ops Manager? When I am done creating toolpaths from the Ops Manager, I select the Okay button to return to the regular screen. Thanks also for your assistance. Albert
  10. Camdude, Strange, the Alt T works.... sometimes. I pressed the Alt T combo several times and almost quit, then it worked. I didn't change anything, just kept hitting the same keys. So I pulled up another simple CNC programs. Opened Operations Manager to look at the toolpath. Same thing. Very frustrating.
  11. Okay, So I can view the toolpaths using the Alt-T from the Operations Manager, but I am unable to reposition my viewpoint. No zooms, no pans, etc. Sometimes, the toolpaths remain "ON" after the Operation Manager dialog box is closed, but sometimes (ususally) the toolpaths are no longer visable. What am I missing here?
