We are cutting a variety of mat'l (alum-copper-4140)etc. We were told to add a Do-All corrosion inhibator which we did and this still did'nt cure our problems.

the coolant we are using(Do-All 944)is causing rust spots as well as big chunks of sluge in our resivoir. We had the rep in and he said our mix was o.k. and took some off to the lab to check it out. This is our 2nd problem with them. Can anyone suggest another brand thats avalible in Canada.

Hi, My boss is considering purchasing one of the following mills. Kuraki KBM-11X NomuraHBP-110 Toshiba BTD-110.R16. We are a jobbing shop and will be machining many different parts. We will be programing it with Mastercam v9.1. Any feed back in regards to any of the mentioned machines would be much appreciated.

Hi BWolcott, I did some grooves last week and used circle mill. This will allow your tool to start and exit in the center of your hole.

Hi, I am having problems with my screen. For some reason my main menu and taskbar seem to have switched to a bigger font.Screen/cofig/screen says it is set at Arial(bold10) which is normal. my taskbar icons have also changed. I have lost 9 items and have to arrow over to get them. Also when I create arc it looks more like an elipse. I have restarted cpu and its still the same.

Hi, I did some reasearch on the forum on z-carb endmills and found it interesting that many users say they blast it with coolant. I was told by our supplier they don't like coolant and it lowers the tool life. Any thoughts?

HI, I have three options for boring, feed out, rapid out and shift. I would like to use shift so my tool wont drag. How do I know it will shift in the right direction? If i put a value of say .5mm which direction will it shift. I am running a HAAS mini mill which has spindle oreintation.
