  1. There is only one available right now and it is loaded. It has TCPC, SuperNurbs 4th and 5th, 5 axis error compensation, Tool posture control, and

I'm not sure if it has the 3D collision avoidance, if not I would get that added to the quote. Also I would have a discussion with your re-seller about program size. If your programs are going to be bigger than 2gb you will need DNC-DT.

    Gcode,

I have the DNC-DT, Supernerbs, glass scales. and the micron option (0.0001mm 0.00001in).

after 10 years it still holds all its precision like it was new!!!!!!!! OKUMA is always my first pick.

  2. CAUTION do not try to turn a spindle motor rated at 12000 rpm at 24000 rpm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you will damage the bearings, the motor will over heat, the balance of the spindle will not handle 24000 rpm

and it could explode. THE MOTOR AND VFD MUST MATCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Millertime,

check your Y axis limit switch it might have coolant in it or a loose wire.

I had this same condition about 3 weeks ago. had to replace the X axis

    micro switch under the table.

    Just a thought.

  4. Yes on tool changes only. Our post calls N related to number of times the tool is used so:-

    N0101 (is tool 1, 1st call)

    N0103 (is tool 1, 3rd call)

    N2004 (is tool 20, 4th call)

Easy to jump to and run a tool again.

    Just like Newbeeee.

  5. Try this.

you will need a .100 od brass tube, diamond lapping compound, one jack off drill chuck, model clay, and a bridgeport.

back up your glass with some tool steel so you don't break through.

chuck up the tube, build a moat around the drill location, fill moat with diamond compound and water.

    start at 500 rpm

    do not make heat

it will start slow until the diamond is embedded in the brass.

    then "drill baby drill"

    hope that helps.

  7. James,

lets say its a 1/4:20 thread, your pitch is 0.050

so drop your bottom start point in 0.050 increments from where you are now to get the depth you need.

use your cutter comp to sneak up on it.

    35k :D
