  1. Its the same for our machine, no helix moves. I dont have a problem with it because I drive my programs from memory card. You can buy the helix move option for hpcc, it is not that expensive. Hpcc will be fast if your machine allows it and the settings are right. Call Fanuc tech to tune it if you have problems.

  2. It might be that the acceleration/deceleration settings are not tuned right in hpcc mode at your machine. There is also setting for the accuracy of hpcc G05 P10000, r1 - r10 ,might be q1 - q10, I dont remember but someone can correct me.

  3. Just last week a coworker forgot to do just that and a 18 in contraption flew out at 7k. It hit him and was lucky it bounced off his arm. The thing bounced and hit 3 feet away from me. This could've been so bad...

I once accidentally spinned a 3d taster at 8000rpm, The whole thing shaked apart and the internals flew right threw the safety glass like it was made of paper. I learned my lesson that day.

  4. I did update the defaults from X5mu1. The first time I used 2d hs toolpaths in X6 I got a note that there was no default file available so I made changes and save. I also lost the 2d hs toolpath defaults when I updated to X6MU1 and MU2 and had to set them all again.

  5. So I make the toolpaths like I always have, make an drilling operation set parameters copy that operation and pick my threading tap. Before I never had problem with this style but in X6 eventhough I have selected tap, (they all have threading cycle selected in tool library), it still stays in drilling cycle from the previous operation. It seems to happen randomly but it doesnt matter if I have drawed in Mastercam or if its an imported model or old file. Sooner or later I will scrap my part bacause of this. Is anyone else seeing this kind of behaviour?

  6. Yes, only thing I did was open the file. It did not change background color or toolbars but I havent looked yet If anything else is changed. This is the second time I noticed line width to change and both times it was when I opened up a MCX file made by that customer with his MD in it.

  7. So I opened up .MCX file made by one of our customer that had his MD in it and it changed my settings, even my line width changed to thicker! Question is, does Mastercam save the configuration to the part file and am I now seeing my customers settings? We both use X6Mu2

  8. then why are we paying maintenance for them?

Few years ago we had Service packs (Free bug fixes) and Maintenance releases. Then they got rid of Service packs and invented Maintenance update but atleast last year those still included improvements to software not just bug fixes. This year we´ve got the main release and bug fixes (MU´s). Seems like every year we get less with the same amount of money..
