  1. Anyone having issues with the following windows error: "WGLCreateContextFailed" This relates to the creation of OpenGL rendering context in the system. System will eventually shut down and will not continue. Does not happen everytime. Assuming that it is issues with the communication of the program & the graphics settings. Windows 2000 OS - NVidia graphics card Any thoughts???
  2. Have a prototrak TRL 1540V w/a prototrak VL controller from SWI. Looking for the name of the post, if anyone is currently this model. Reseller having problems finding post?? Current post which was aquired is G code and not by event. Any help is appreciated.......
  3. Thanks to all for the info! Seems from talking to the Mastercam dealer and reading the "what's new" in the 9.1 beta information that I'm now running, there was a problem with the verification engine which has been fixed for the upcoming V9.1 standard load. The V9.1 beta verification literally smokes...........
  4. Just courious if anyone running V9 with a Nivida 4400TI 128mb card on a P4 with at least 1/2gig RAM has had problems with solid verify in Mastercam. Currently it's running slow as ever. Didn't have the problem with V8.1.1 on P3's without the video card!?!?

    DWELL

Joe, A value of 1.0 entered into the dwell parameter would equal 1 second. Sorry about the first post.........computer got in a hurry?!?! M.A.Hall
  6. Super B, Fanuc or Charmilles controller? We have a 310 w/Charmilles controller and we use the mprobo_i.pst post which I've modified from it's original state but works great. Our 440 which has the new millineum controller uses the mpfanucw.pst which has also been modified and works well. Slide me an email if you would like to discuss it more in depth. M.A.Hall
  7. OPPIZ, I've tried the modification in both V8 & V9 and it works both places. I don't get the error you have listed. You may want to check the post again to make sure the > was not put in by accident. You may have other issues if the post has been messed with as well. Anyway, if you have a way to send me the post, I'd be glad to look at it and help.
  8. Go to line 965 in the post. It should look like this: pcan1, pbld, n, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, pxout, pyout, pfzout, pcout, prdlout, *peck1, dwell,*feed, strcantext, e Move prdlout in front of pfzout to look like this: pcan1, pbld, n, *sgdrlref, *sgdrill, pxout, pyout, prdrlout, pfzout, pcout, *peck1, dwell,*feed, strcantext, e This should take care of your order problem. As far as negative numbers, insert negative values into your retract value, depth, and peck and it should come out like this: (Just a simple peck drill program) %T G70 ; PROGRA M NAM E - T ; DAT E=D D-M M-Y Y - 12-04-02 TIM E=H H:M M - 21:02) N100 G99 T1 L0. 9. Chad, To eliminate the A value in the haas post, answer "no" to question #164. If your looking to use the "home postion" toggle in the parameters page, you must set misc. interger #1 to read (1) for this to post out the G92 x,y,z values. But...........in doing so, as already said, you will have to modify the post to eliminate the posting of the G28 lines. Several ways to do this: 1. Use the block delete function and remove the pfbld from the G92 lines in the post. This way if for some reason you want to use G28, you can turn block delete off in the controller. 2. The other option is to knull it out completely if you are planning on using the home position key all the time. Knull by putting a # sign in front of the line you don't want to appear. You will need to add a line to the pretract post block if you are going to use the G92 line. (Shown below) You should decide and make the changes to the following lines: psof pfbld, n, sgabsinc, *sg28ref, "Z0.", e pfbld, n, *sg28ref, "X0.", "Y0.", e pfbld, n, "G92", *xh, *yh, *zh, e ptlchg #Tool change pfbld, n, *sg28ref, "X0.", "Y0.", e pfbld, n, "G92", *xh, *yh, *zh, e pretract #End of tool path, toolchange pbld, n, sgabsinc, sgcode, *sg28ref, "Z0.", scoolant, e pbld, n, *sg28ref, "X0.", "Y0.", protretinc, e (Add these lines if our not going to use the above G28 Z0 and X0, Y0 positions) n, G92,*zh, scoolant, e n, G92, *xh, *yh, e Let me know if you need any help. If you run into problems, and you want, just mail me your current post you are using an I'll be glad to make the changes. Good Luck! Mike
  10. RC, I agree with Keith on the RJ or Niagara cutters. You might ponder the fact that you don't want to have a real real sharp tool when cutting Brass. It will pull and tear vs cut as it does if you drill brass and you don't stone the edge of the drill. Kind of falls in the same class as acrylics and plexiglass. You will notice it less in an NC machine vs. a manual machine so you may not even see or hear it happen. You might try stoning the edge or using Carbide, (as they tend to rub more,) and see if that gets you a better outcome. Also, I agree with the others on the concentration issues but consider Virgin Mineral Oil. This stuff does wonders for materials and there finish. Brass, Copper, and Aluminum especially. Good Luck! Mike
  11. Kyle, We have(2)Bostomatic modified posts. One I have modified and works very well and the other has been modified and I'm told works well. If you want, I can modify your post for you to get the same results we are getting. If your interested, shoot me an email and we'll go from there. ----------------- Mike
