I emailed in house solutions yesterday and they called me today. So it looks like it is a problem with 2024. They tried it with update 2, still has same problem. They said they would create a ticket with mastercam to get it fixed. Ill post back with an update if I hear anything from them. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.

At least im not alone lol. Was worried i was just doing something wrong. We have a network license too. We activate an online license on one computer and then codemeter application shares licenses with other computers. Is this NetHASP or is that something different? Working with 2024 Update 1. Also I tried it on one of the network computers today and got same result.

Yes Im opening the control definition from the ribbon bar, starting from a blank file. Still seems like something isnt right. If i add 2 or more posts to a control file im stuck with them. No way to delete them. Works properly in 2023, but not in 2024. I tried with another machine (mill default) and same result.

Hey guys I have a couple variations of my MD CD PST and somehow i ended up saving one CD with 2 posts in it. I've spend hours here today trying to delete it and nothing seems to work. I open CD manager, see multiple posts, delete them, but they still show up in "existing definitions". I tried same thing in 2023 and I can add multiple posts, they show up in "existing definitions" and then when i delete them they are gone from existing definitions. Whats up with this? Is this a bug? Has something changed from 2023? Am i doing something wrong? Thanks!

Im getting this error in MC 2024. Unchecking Max distance seems to fix it for me, but it does not save. If i start a new file max distance is enabled again. How do i check this setting permanently? I've looked in machine/control definition but cant seem to find it.

Are there any other operations that do not support V9 coolant? I did try it with Mill Default, still using V9 coolant, and still showing on/off for coolant x values. And V9 coolant worked fine in advanced drill. Strange. In any case using a combination of both does seem to work for MpMaster.

I figured this out after. Im using the old V9 style coolant as I mentioned. But it looks like Advanced drill is getting the values from the X style coolant and I didnt have these setup. See attached pic, you can see where on and off came from. So I filled in the values for the X style coolant and now advanced drill works ok. Still have v9 style coolant selected and using it everywhere else.

Hey guys I have an issue with advanced drill in 2024. I select flood coolant and it simply posts out "On" and "Off" in the G code. Using MPmaster post and V9 coolant. Any ideas? It can be done. Go really slow, start from above part feeding down and your just going to have to get in there and look at the entry as its about to contact the part. Hit feedhold and reset program of course before it actually cuts anything. Keep adjusting Z and trying again until its syncronized. You should be able to blue or sharpie the top of thread and get to point where bottom of cutter is just cleaning of the part. then run it to depth.

Hey guys whats up with scallop height not working with bullnose tools in surface finish scallop toolpath? Says the scallop height is 0.000 unless its a massive stepover (bigger then flat bottom of tool). I guess its only calculating the height on a flat bottom? Real shame it isn't smarter then this. I think years ago we could hit max stepover button and it would calculate the scallop height at 45 degrees so you could choose a suitable stepover. Is there any way to still do this?

Hey guys we just bought 3 seats of mastercam (2 mill, 1 lathe). This is one shot deal, I dont plan on buying maintenance ever. We are entitled to the first release of 2024 but no updates past that, so want to make sure there are no major bugs. I would like to use the updated stock features in 2024. So is it safe to switch to 2024 or should i stick with 2023?

Hi guys Im working on my tool library and most of my tools are "tools" but some are "assemblies". In the tool manager i can list assemblies, or tools, but cant seem to list them all in one place. Is there a way to remove the holder from the assembly and save it just as a tool?
