  1. What is that? How do i make it a sub-routine? And what will sub routine do? Is the code to start from machine home => G90 G10 L2 P_X_Y_Z. ??
  2. Hi guys, I wanna make warm up program for Nicolas CNC mill machine, The table is 5m x 2m, How do i make a program that runs from home? Do i make the parameter on mastercam then edit the origin of NC code ? I'm trying to make a program the run horizontally like the screen shot below to so the machinist can clean up the chips using the coolant whilst running the warmup program. Height of Z-axis : 300mm from machine table.
  3. I've tried them, some give better result for the angle but doesn't give good finish for other parts of the WP but thanks anyway That seems to be the best option now to get the fillet on the floor Well, I didn't know this WP needed a multiaxis machine but will make do for now, probably will go w rgrin suggestion since my company doesn't have a multi-axis machine. Sadly i'm not able to share any 3D file w you for this part (I've checked w my seniors). OK meng Well, I checked w the design team and they said it should be ok if it was a bigger radius for assembly but this particular client is fussy about things so my seniors suggested me to stick the the 0.5 corner radius. Thanks for the advice peeps
  4. Hi guys, Wanted to ask about the suitable operation & tool for the part highlighted in the screenshot below. I've tried using Waterline, Hybrid and Raster. So far the raster gave me the best result but was wondering if there was a better operation suited for this. So the Stock below is the Stock Model after all the operation, I used Bullmill 12.0 Radius 0.5 in a Raster operation thinking it would get me the 0.5 fillet on the Workpiece floor. Need this part to be 0.5 fillet. I've tried hybrid and waterline but some part didn't get machine When i used Hybrid, i couldn't get it to machine the part circled in green, tried to use Pencil afterward but didn't manage to set it to machine that part and when i used waterline, i can't seem to get the upper part of this area to be machined smoothly. In addition to that, Is there a way to reduce this pattern on the Workpiece? Would using Smoothing under the Arc Filter tab result in a smoother surface? Hope you guys could share with me some suggestions on type of operation and suitable tool for this. I'm using Mastercam 2024 and only had experience in CNC programming using heidenhain and CATIA in college, so please explain if you're referencing from previous Mastercam version. (Have been using Mastercam for around 5 months now)
  5. I've already run the program, it's just a rectangular WP with a 73 degree angle at the edge, It was alright although the surface wasn't as smooth as my senior's. Is roughing still necessary for a 10mm thickness WP? or is it alright for me to just do finishing flowline straight for the angle> I've contacted the reseller , it's all good now, thanks for the advice. Mastercam 2024, as much as I want to prove the legitity of my software, i just started me job as a CAM programmer this month (Never had any experience with Mastercam before), previously only learned CAD CAM on CATIA, not sure what am I suppose to share in a Z2G. Just finished my training this week for the basics on 2D operations. Thanks for the advice, figured it out while fiddling with the parameters.
  6. I've tried reinitializing the tool, but the toolpath and G-Code still show an excessive plunge rate, By reporting to the CNC software you mean asking Mastercam itself?
  7. Wagwan, I'm trying to reduce the plunge rate for the flowline feature but it doesn't seem to change even though i've adjusted it at the tool parameter. Is there any other way to reduce the plunge rate for flowline feature?
