  5. Hi Supercar.

You can use F no problem.Just using feed per pitch. Here in sample for 3/8-16 thread.

    N4 G0 G90 G54 X0. Y0. S160 M3

    N5 G43 H1 Z3. M8

    N6 G98 G84 Z-.5 R.2 F.0625

    N7 G80

That is give You Feed=10 in per min.We use all the time.My shop have 2 of them.(Make sure you have feed per pitch other wise you will crash big time). If you need help feel free to email me.

  6. Hi Jim.We have 2 Akira here,I Just used regular G84 for rigid tap.But the feed calculated by pitch instead by revolution then.(Ex: 1/4 -20 tap

G98 G84 Z-.75 R.2 F.05).Another thing is this control is not to good,be careful with the edit mode when you want to edit your program,if made mistake you can not press cancell. It will enter what you put on (not like Fanuc or Hass..)instead cancelled them,or If lenght of the line longger than screen limited,it will jump down from another line without EOB. By the way what is the size of machine?
