Here's what worked for me....The post is the new MPFAN that came with it.You need to change the arc type to "absolute" in the control definitions and sometimes (not always) you need to change the post in the general output settings to a 1 (absolute) as well. It worked that way for the haas....but not the hardinge.
THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT GUYS !
That's what i was leaning towards Jim....I know the post can overide the Control Def.
I'll keep you posted....no pun inten....I guess there really was.
thanks
Does anyone know which change you have to make so i don't put out radii's but I's and J's instead ? this is driving me nuts !!! Haas Mill X3 I've got the post set right but it doesn't matter what setting i change or so it seems.......
I Have dealt with my dealer many times...I just like to read and use this forum. It's supprising what you can learn from reading others.Sometimes just a quick little post can take care of a little pain in the butt problem rather quickly.I have tried most of these quick fixes myself but it might be the right combination of these that help.
Thanks for all the input guys.
HOW DO I GET MCX3 TO NOT PUT G28U0.W0.
G50X20.Z20.0 AT THE START OF THE PROGRAM ??? MC9 STARTED WITH GOT202 OR WHATEVER TOOL YOU WERE USING. IT CAN'T HAVE A G54 EITHER BUT I GOT RID OF THAT. HELP !!!
MCX3 from Mc9 - How do i get rid of the G28U.0W.0G G50X20.Z20 at the beginning of the file ? It normally starts out GOT2O2 and then G97.... or whatever tool your starting with ????? I finally figured out how to get rid of the G54 and then i get this.It does't like the G54 command either. The lathe it a Hardinge Conquest-42
I do realize that a solid can only be one color but all the surfaces i bring in are 1 color as well.....that's why I'm hoping there's a setting or something to change that.otherwise i have to open both programs solidworks to see what the hole is and mastercam to run off of.
you mean we get whatever color we're set to recieve it in ?? i have solidworks as well and it comes in on that all different colors....like it was draw. I just thought maybe there was a setting for mastercam
when you bring the model in it's suppose to be in different colors......to distinguish between things. alot of die companies do it that way. but mastercam brings it in as all the same color
actually it comes in as surfaces....but a lot of designers out there use a color code on your model to distinguish them apart.no print....just a model.
How do i get mastercam to bring in a solid model with the different colors so i can tell the difference between a tapped hole and a reamed hole etc......
I have a customer that wants his logo engraved on the part. The logo was drawn in autocad(dfx)i can pull it in but it's not geometry...is there anyway to convert this? running mastercam V9 and 10
