  1. Gildemeister CTX 410 Lathe with Live (C axis)Tooling (no Y axis)... Fanuc 32i Control
  2. I may get blasted for this.... I was wondering what the easiest way (reseller aside) is to program a C Axis? Just add coding to my existing lathe post? Thanks!
  3. Although I have not used levels much...I agree already.
  4. I have 2 levels for this instance, one with a name (level 2) and the main (level 1). Level 2 does not show up when I click on the arrow beside the level manager (bottom of design screen). Level 2 has 4 entities... Still nothing. John, where do I put the csv file?
  5. Super. Thanks! On another note, why is it that my level manager only shows level 1 and no others?
  6. Hey! How do I change/move an existing entity to another leve? Thanks!
  7. Upon a more close inspection now I see that what looks like a line up pin of some type under the table itself is sheered off. Seems that the night shifty rammed the table or something.... Why can't we just hire compentant people?!?!?
  8. I tried giving it a G91 G00 B3.xxx to bring it back to what I figure is B0. and it gave me an invalid move alarm.
  9. I won't deny what you say is true becuase I looked at the relative screen. But, that is not right, because you can actually see from the line up marks on the table itself that it is aprox 3 deg. off. The zero indicator is stationary and the 360/0 indicator on the rotary is off, very obvious with how the table looks.
  10. Sorry, off topic abit... I have a Kao Ming horizontal mill with 2 set pallet changer. Pallet A (rotary code is aprox 3deg off zero. When I ref. the rotary it lifts and turns and goes home, but it says home is at like 356.97 deg (or similar). How can I turn my rotary table that 3 deg? I checked all the offsets and they are all 0.000 on the B axis. I don't know what our night shifty did...but he's got me in a real mess here.
  11. Hey Tim, and all others =] I just used the stock def for the ID. I have never tried that before and it did exactly as I wanted so I will just leave it at that for now. Thanks for all the help!
  12. Hey all, Got me a piece of pvc pipe, 18"...blah blah blah. What I want to do with MCX is (just for visual ref.) drill a hole in model, and rough the material up to the pipe ID size so I can save as an STL. It drills just fine, but when I go to rough the ID it just takes one cut at the pipes prefabbed ID and leaves all the material in the middle. Now, I don't know for sure (still very new at lathe), but is this to do with stock recognition? I have stock all set, but the stock recognition box in the rough parameters is greyed out....I dunno why. Thanks for the help!
  13. I think, if I am not mistaken, that the backplot is only a visual rep of the code that is in the editor and not savable... as far as I know.
  14. Anybody here have a tool profile for a knurlling tool that I could use with X? Unless of course you already can with a predefined that I am unaware of.... but I think not. Thanks!
  15. Alternatively if you don't want to spend the coin, you can use your existing tap and peck tap it like .05" deep at a time to reduce the torque needs....
  16. John, what I 'was' trying to do was to offset the G54 Z in x distance towards the chuck. I was trying to make life easier for my guy here but could not find/figure it out so he had to pull each pce by hand.... Anyways, that's what I want to know how to do. If I read Peter's reply right, I would go G10 L2 P1 W.xxx ?
  17. Hey! Anybody out there have info on the syntax for a G10 (work offset change) statement? I have been unable to find this in our Lathe books for the proper use. Thanks!
  18. CNC Guy, my code looks the same as yours. But after it finishes roughing out, it runs the lines (your example) N100 - N102 line by line. Does yours do that? I have run a fanuc 21T for 6 years or so, and the G71 and such never did that. There must be some way to disable repeats passes. Redundancy at it's finest, I suppose. I also have never used I and K... U and W are obviously common.
  19. I do not understand the stock setup section. When I click on the OD button it lets me select a point and all I ever get it like OD .004... same with the length. I obviously don't know how to use this properly. Any help would be super.
  20. Sort of off topic... When I run canned cycles (G71, G72..) it runs thru the cycle and then it single line runs thru the cycle before going on the whatever is after that. So, basically it roughs out the part, then takes a spring pass (even roughing!) and I want this to stop. Is there a setting change to get rid of this? Thanks!
  21. 'Chains must be closed for extrusion into a solid body' What I have done is draw this donut (of sorts) and taken the 88" rad. segment and placed it on the quad of the 6" OD. I hit the revolve solids and I get the listed above error. I am having bugger of a time with solids...
  22. I have created a ... donut we'll say, 6" OD, 4.5" ID, 1" long. On the front face I want to create a 88" radius and cut it into the extrusion. I already have the 88" segment cut to 6" diameter and place in the center of the extrusion, but if I try to extrude cut I just get the non thinwall error for extruding. How can I do this better/properly?
  23. Stupid thing was horrible before MR1. 'Back in the day' already eh? And that was only what, 6, 8 ish months ago? Ah how time and the Maint. Releases fly, eh?
  24. From what I have seen and played with today, it will be a very useful tool for alot of jobs in the coming future. Thanks for all the help guys (and gals, if any).
