  1. I might have used some bad terms here. There is no sub spindle. I just want to cut a grove on a sphere. You could almost call it a spherical thread. Everytime I take a depthcut on it, it starts at a different spot on the spindle rotation.

  2. Does anyone know if I can sync the spindle with the z motion on an EMCO Turn 325 with a Fanuc 21-T? Basically I'm trying to cut a grove on the OD of a sphere. I can't use the threading cycles because of the arc. I found a pattern repeat cycle(G75) for this machine which does the x/z motion, with a step down, that I want but the spindle isn't synced.

  3. i think you need seperate machine and control def's for the bridgeport. X is different than 9. In X you select your machine then do the toolpaths. Not like in 9 when you would hit post and then switch posts. update your v9 bridgeport post to X and it should create your machine and control definitions.

  4. how are you selecting your geometry? If you're using points and lines, your points should be only at the bottom of the lines. In V9 we had problems if our holes were vertical (3 axis) it would try to do them upside down, so we would seperate the 3 axis holes from the 5 axis holes.

can't look at your file right. I'm blocked from the ftp at work.

  5. I have a program that uses variables

    #1=0

    #2=1

    N1 IF[#1 GT 89] GOTO2

    #1=#1+#2

    .

    .

the machine is giving me a 004 alarm when it reads the #1=0 line. I've ran these progams on here before, although not in a long time, without a problem. the control is Fanuc O-M. Is it possible that the macro programming has some how become disabled? Anyone have any other ideas?

  6. I haven't had any problems with the macro recorder. I've recorded a few different macros that work fine. The only problem i've run into with the mouse clicks is when someone else uses that seat of Mcam and they move some windows to new locations.

Unfortunately I haven't recorded one to do that.
