You will need an activation code to enable Productivity+ in Mastercam. There is a Getting Started with Renishaw Productivity+ guide that is a good place to start. Look for MCAMX7_RenishawProbe-GS.pdf in your McamX\documentation folder.

If I can get a part I might be able to give a better answer, but for some reason the calculation kernal failed and that is the error message generated. It might be a bug already fixed, but if not, it would be good to get a part so we can duplicate and fix it.

Check out the Floor5ax chook on your release CD. It allows you to set axis limits for any axis. For your case set the Z axis maximum limit to 60. that will keep it from going past 60 from vertical. You will want to use the half moon as your 'comp' surface. You can even use the floor as a check surface so you don't violate it. PS - It is time to upgrade to V9. All these capabilities and more are now built into Flow5ax.

If you are really using 3D cutter comp, there is a Chook available from Mastercam to add compensation direction vectors to 3-axis Surface finish paths. It only works for V9.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I have some experience making a living at contract programming. The best approach I found was to charge a per-hour rate. That way the customer knows he is paying for it when he asks you to do work instead of trying to get more for his money by asking for more work under the same contract.
