  1. md, There is definitely something going on with this file, regen crashes when using appmch9.dll, regens fine without it. I will report this to QC and see what they have to say.
  2. Tlong, Try using the Ref. Point button instead of Home Pos. setting. In Ref Point you can turn off the approach, turn on retract, and give position in absolute or incremental terms. Do this in last operation of each tool so tool moves to correct location before tool change occurs. HTH
  3. Elad, Did you have translate parameters set to move or copy? If you copy and then delete the original, this could be the cause of your trouble. If you move during translate, the re-gen should work correctly. HTH
  4. Thad, Alt + V will only show Version 8 in the corner, the date is the date of the executable. 1.26.2001 is for V8.1, just like it says in your upper left corner. Loading V8.1.1 patch should have executable date of 5.1.2001. There are patches on the web site you should download and install also that are post V8.1.1. HTH
  5. Wildcat, I ted to agree with Anbu, if you are splitting surfaces, Moldplus is the way to go. If you have Mastercam Solids, you could read your Solidworks file directly into Mastercam and trim the solid, keeping both sides, very easily, which, I believe, is what cadcam was referring to above. HTH
  6. David, You need to download the latest Mp.dll from the Mastercam web site. Go to Mastercam.com, select "Support', "Free Downloads", "Version 9 Patches". Download Mp.zip and extract into c-hooks folder. You also want to download all other patches that correspond with your system. HTH
  7. Jody, First create a toolpath using Surface, Rough, Pocket. On Rough pocket parameters page, be sure to check "Align plunge entries for start holes". After operation is created, right click in Operations Manager and select "Toolpaths", "Circle paths", "Drill start holes". You will see your pocketing operation listed. You have several options you can use (click on Help button for more info), basically just hit OK and your drilling operation is created using same size drill as your roughing endmill. Mastercam then places this operation before pocket op in the Op Manager. HTH
  8. From the Main Menu, select "File", "Edit", "Pst", then select your post for DX32 and click on "open". Search for "nobrk" (without the quote marks). You should see something like this: nobrk : 1 If you change this line to: nobrk : 0 then your post should break rapid moves into two lines of code. To break all moves (feed and rapid) nobrk : 2 Hope this helps. [ 04-04-2002, 11:00 AM: Message edited by: gravydog ]
