Ive tried to save out some solids from 2019 as step and a few others. Solidworks 2017 and Mcam 2018 will not open them for some reason. I have tried a few other of the version options with no luck.
Any one else see this?
Thanks
I am trying to use optirough to machine the thickness of this fixture on a Robodrill. Not having used optirough before i am not sure if the 1st(A0) opti rough looks better for cutting or the 2nd one(A180). I cannot get the A0 operation to respect the stock as it is plunging into the material to do the initial plunge. I cannot touch the smaller boss on the right side as that is connected to my rotary face plate
Does anyone have any tips, tell me what i am doing wrong here or have any suggestions?
Thanks much

How do you model a full nose radius slot cut into a face?
Picture a Ø.250" ballnose plunging in .200" and then cutting a straight slot. Its giving me fits.
TIA
I placed a file on the FTP

I think it requires a 5 axis to cut this surface. Is it a 5 ax path? Can it be cut on a table table? What toolpath would you use?
I am quoting a part with this surface.
Thanks
I am having almost the same problem. I want my lower turret to be X+ and i am currently getting X-. I started out with the basic 4X millturn post. Is this in the machine def?
