Thanks Christian. The reason I'm after this is we have some old programs running (6yrs +). There are no nc or nci files for them. I am just after the profiles to find the position and rotation of the parts. These were written by hand and never documented. After reverse posting by taking the profile I require from the main program it is then posible to backplot and save the path. This has been done numerous times in version 7.xx with no problems as a new toolpath is created afterwards.

V9 Reverse Post This dosn't seem to be working in version 9. I worked through the help page and ... well the reverse part of the menu was missing. Any ideas

I have been using mastercam for 5 years although still on version 7.2 mainly used for cutting multiple surfaces on a kitamura h300 supercell. Rob

no i have no solids add on (version 7 still). i know its old but no upgrade due until this summer .

can anyone here give me some guidelines on writing macros. every time i convert a x_t i use the same sequence of events, so i was wondering if this is possibe to do with a macro. even after the conversion i have to split the job to 3 different layers surfaces, line splies arcs ,and unblanked surfaces before i start. all this so i can save some time to get a coffee. hope someone can help.
