  3. go to: operation manager/machine group properties/tool settings tab. There you can set the program #. all operations after you set it will have the same program #.

  15. Using cutter comp.(G41,G42) in some cases especially in can cycles causes FANUC control to alarm. So I stopped using it. Would be nice to have the easy way to delete unused tools from tool library.(sometime if I do minor changes to the tool & want to save it, MC not always ask if I want to keep both, so I and up with very similar tools in library.   18. Yes, you do it in different machine groups. One of the parts I was working on, I put everything in one file: lathe, mill & couple of tooling projects for the same part. And looks like MC didn't like it going back & forth from lathe to mill & back to lathe. Sometimes when I'm in mill machine group, MC thinks I'm in lathe & didn't let me do any editing. MC crushed on me several times using this file. Did anyone had anything like this or it just me? Lev.
  19. I created a lathe part in X2 MR1. part has two od grooves: 1. square using .094 wide standard insert & 2. full rad using .047R standard insert. When backploting my part in MR1 everything works fine. When I backplot my part in MR2 it doesn't show .047R insert. it does show the toolholder. all other tools are fine. Thanks.   21. on first one drill: 1700(rpm) x .012(ipr) x 2(# of fluts) =40.8(ipm) on second thread mill: 4000(rpm) x .0026(ipt) = 10.4(ipm) Lev Westwood Precision Inc.
  22. you can use screen / copy screen image to clipboard. then paste it into word document. don't pay any attention to background color. there is "set transparent color" option in Microsoft word & excel. I always use it. Lev Westwood precision Inc.
