If you know how to program this machine, I have a few questions.

So i was doing some yard work. A neighbor stopped by to ask if i was interested in an old bike he had, oh boy her i go again, the addiction is rising its head. It is a "shaft drive" i say to my self........ Gotta go look right? Must go look, it might be a hidden gem, right?

I have a Okuma with a U10m control. We run DNC and in the memory mode. Our Floppy drive dumped and now I am loading programs VIA the RS232 port. When I load a program it always wants to load every program as A.min. How do I format my NC file header so the control will recognize the program name? The manuals are not very clear on program formatting........

Yes can be done, but the logo I need to engrave can not be treated like that. Can mcam art do this?

ARG! I still can not get something to project onto this surface. Again this is a sample file, I need to be able to project the "G" onto the radiused surface. normal to the surface if that makes sence..... then drive tool path on the projected curves with axis substitution.

I got the file but how do you wrap the letters and project them onto the surface? I am missing something!!!!!!

I have some engraving I need to do on a round part. I need to wrap it around a slanted surface but can not figure out how to do it. I attached a simple file of what I am trying to do. Help..........

The OSAI control uses somthing called "E"prams i am in a holding pattern for now have other jobs that need attention. I did get it to work once. -

Can't get it to work. The suppled book and instructions produce a non working program????? I have been in contact with Onsrud and they are giving me things to try, but so far no go. I can't even get it it probe a simple hole or part edge with out error codes. I get the following error messages. NC097 Process 1 Hole probing cycle not complete, When the syntax is exactly like the book and supplied example fril from Onsrud NC024 process 1 G and Program state not congruent NC096 Process 1 wrong probing cycle -
I have extensive renishw probe experience on Fanuc style controls. I can not get it to work for beans on this machine. The guys at Onsrud have not given me to much help. I am searching for some help.
