    VPN

:bump: After dern near a year, finally upgraded to X2, and tried the above method. Either I don't have the right IP ( I entered 3 of them, all with commas in between ), or I need to put in more information. The IT guy thinks I need a 'port number', which is on the nethasp config settings. Is there some default port number for mastercam?

    VPN

So a while back I had asked if there was a way to only open MCX from home using my hasp at work. Well, the IT guy finally set up the VPN, but I'm still having trouble figuring out how to route the hasp to my home computer. I tried opening the VPN, then running the nethasp like at work, but I'm getting nothing. So the question is to any of you that use this function, how do I set up my computers to shake hands?
  3. quote: An other way: Convert library to text. Make changes in the txt-file. Save txt-file with new name. Create library from text. Hmmm... I like it!
  4. Just create a new view. But you'll also have to redo all of your toolpaths to that new plane.
  5. What I think John is trying to say is, right click 'plane' at the bottom of your screen and choose 'rotate'. Whichever way you rotate it, you'll be able to name it. Anytime you use this named plane, your toolpaths will correspond accordingly. When you verify, now you will have a complete part. If you simply 'xform rotate', the conclusion will not be the same. You are rotating the part to the current plane instead of changing the plane to the part. quote: Now I realize the left face should be rotated to 90. If i rotate the plane that is complete differnet thing. If i stay in the same c-plane and rotate the model than all the operation prior to this will changed. Using the above plane rotate function, no operations will change. They will rotate with the part at the named plane change.
  6. :bump: I also can connect from home, just as if I were sitting at work. The problem is: speed. In V9, the delay between my computer and the one at work wasn't that long. But trying to do the same thing with X, the story differs. A thought to ponder: Could I download X to my home computer and remotely access only the nethasp? This would yeild a programming delay of zero, and the verify and surface programming would RIP!
