  1. The adjustments he is asking about are right there in the parameters where you set the min/max feed and air cutting feed. On the right side, "up feed rate scale factor/down feed rate scale factor" If you want to set a default then you will need to set it where happy said. Although I don't see a default setting anywhere in the machine parameters so you may have to look elsewhere. If you cannot pick finishing, its probably cause your tool is not defined as a finishing tool.
  2. No, read post 3,4, and 5
  3. Ya I don't have a problem with it when comp is off. Actually it seems to be when I am using the ramp option with it. Ramp on its own with no comp is fine, as soon as I try to ramp with comp on, it doesn't work. See pictures. First one is the dialogue box showing the time difference. The other ones are the program outputs. Its the 3rd one with ramp and comp that is wrong.
  4. That's weird. I have no issues using it with wear comp off (usually the case) but for some reason it doesn't with it on. I mean there is no error, its just that the confirmation dialogue box says new time will be 0 min 0 secs. Then of course there are no feeds outputted in the post, only the main feed I entered in originally. I may have to call support for this. Thanks for the verification Colin.
  5. Would the adjust feed on arc, just change feed suddenly? The high feed option adjusts before for acceleration and deceleration. If I don't use that, the machine shakes too much. Why should I not use the high feed option? Machine I'm running is a Mazak VTC 250D Milling Center.
  6. Does anyone use this mode? Reason I ask is I have come across something that I think might either be a bug or perhaps its supposed to be this way but if you try to use this mode with wear compensation, it seems to ignore it. Basically I am trying to finish around a block and I am using high speed machining but on the corner I need it to slow down slightly, hence why I want to use Mastercam's high feed option. However when I select it with wear compensation, it tells me the program time will be reduced to 0min 0 secs. What its doing is using the parameters feed entered but doesn't adjust on the corners. Does anyone else know about this?
  7. Hi guys, I have noticed this error popping up on me when I open X6. I don't really know what it is. I just hit ok and everything is fine. The error is "Unable to load a User Interface" Should I be concerned about it? Only started happening recently last week.
  8. Awesome. Thanks guys.
  9. Hi. I was just wondering if in X7, in the machine group properties, the safety zone tab has been removed or is something in my set up different? I mean I did not use it, I was just curious about it.
  10. Thanks fellas. Yes I was looking for 2D.
  11. Save mcx file as PDF. Is it possible? If so how would I do it?
  12. Do any of you remember what date X7 was released or where I can find that information?
  13. Ahh, ok thank you. I got it. Funny the smallest things can really throw you for a loop. Appreciate it.
  14. Hi guys, its been a bit since I have used trim surface options and I am not sure what I am doing to get this proper trim. In the file you can see the surfaced holes extruded past the part. What I'm trying to do is trim the hole surface to the radius of the angle and the thickness of the part. I can't seem to do it. How do I tackle this and what is the procedure I'm missing? Thanks TRIM HOLES.MCX-6
  15. Thank you, I will look at it now. Appreciate it.
  16. Also Paris I never said I had a message popping up so you insinuating for me to ":read the message" is not relevant. I got the answer for that question anyway and it was to find out "where" to rename or delete and it has been answered in the other post. Thanks though. On a side note, can a staff member please change the title of this thread to "Dynamic ToolPath Issue"?
  17. This was it. Thank you. Also Jay thanks for the tip of the right click menu.
  18. oops, sorry Paris, looks like an admin moved that part of my thread to its own topic. I was referring to the dynamic area part. I will delete that part of the topic so no one gets confused.
  19. Thanks. I'll try it Monday morning.
  20. Ya I usually set my back feedrate and my tip comp as well as my stepover None of these are set yet. I use the dynamic area cuts a lot and I probably should set those default parameters. I didn't realize I was on core. Thanks for pointing that out. Back to the blue area though, as far as I know, that is supposed to represent the stock. I don't want it bigger as it would cut air. I'm not trying to cut inside the blue area but rather the whole blue area. If you look in my parameters I have multiple chains selected and I am trying to just cut the little cut out.
  21. This is not what the title says, I had 2 questions here and the admin moved one to its own topic. I am having a little trouble with this file. I am trying to do a 2D high speed dynamic toolpath but I keep getting an error saying error regenerating operation. The blue is what I want to cut and the red is what I am avoiding. You can see the full model on the 1st level. TEST.MCX-6
  22. Hi guys, i just recently started using dynamic planes to stop multiple files for different operations. I have a question about deleting or renaming the planes after they have been created. Example, I brought in an IPT solid file and went to planes, dynamic planes, set where I wanted, moved to and aligned to world origin and world axis, selected set as wcs and all is good. Ok so now I actually wanted to change the location a bit. So I I redo it, I obviously can't use the same name so I choose something else that represents the same thing but now I want to delete the old one to avoid confusion. Is there a way? On that same note, can the names be renamed. Does my description make sense? lol
