  1. Today was the first time I even opened this feature up. I look at that feature day after day but nothing ever drove me click the icon. I will need to dig into this area a bit and see if any of this will help for any of my needs. Right now it look like it look like it could work well for in cut feed, but I don't see much for controlling retract rates but I guess i will know more with a little play time. I have noticed some people are using VoluMill. Does this have any features that may help in the areas I am looking to control?? Thanks for the response. Any additional ideas would be appreciated
  2. Hey All, I have really been getting into the updated dynamic 2D tool paths in X5. First off to CNC Software, Great Job love these paths over previous versions. Now for the question I came to ask. When using these tool paths is there a way to have the dynamic tool paths adjust the feed rate dynamically based on the distance to be traveled? ( Both in cut and retract ) I have noticed on some of my larger aluminum parts I can get a in cut feed of around 500 IPM with a retract of 1200 IPM, as long as the travel is over approx. 5"+. From around 2"-5" I can feed around 350 - 500 IPM, and anything below 2" I can feed around 150 - 350. With these parameters the machines seem to be very content, If I get much outside of these parameters the machines could shake them selves right out of the shop. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can better manage this issue It would be nice to have a advanced feed rate dash board for these tool paths, where you could set 3 different stages of feed rate reduction based on Min / Max travel distance, for both in-cut & retract feeds. thanks in advance for the ideas / help.
  3. I believe this needs to be altered in your post. The two cycles I have found that will usually need to be edited are the G73 profile & G70 finish cycles This is due to the possibility that the start point & retract from the end point can have intersections with non-clearance zones. It has been years since I have edited a lathe post so I am afraid I will not be much help in this area. I do however know it is possible through a post edit.
  4. I have had this same issue in X4 If I copy geometry from level 1 & then hide level 1, Then paste to level 2. I have found that the geometry on level 1 will stay selected. Even if you Esc. after that operation. Then if you move the geometry on the new level it will also move the geometry from level 1. If the initial level has assoc. tool paths the are now dirty. My work around has been. Copy geometry as normal. Make all levels used in the copy or past visible. Then hit Esc. button a couple of times. Then I proceed as normal. We have 2 computers at my workplace, of which both seem to have this issue.
  5. The mouse is a MS Wireless Laser 6000 I have deleted all the mouse profiles & set the default mouse profile to vertical scroll for the scroll wheel -- No Luck I have also tried to set a custom profile for MC. No luck for the scroll wheel, but you gave me a idea for a temp work around that will save me from chasing around the screen so much. I will hot-key one of the mouse buttons to F1 this will eliminate some of the extra mouse work. Man I remember back in the day when chasing around the screen and hot-keys were the only way Now I'm spoiled with all the time savers and habits are hard to break in a day. My computer just might be telling me something. LESS WORK MORE GAMES!!!!!!! LOL Thanks once again Ill be calling Shopware on Monday to see if they have seen this problem
  6. Thanks for the suggestion but no fix I have now also to disable the SLI but no fix
  7. Hi all, Thought I was going get ahead on work by loading M-Cam on my home computer, and working over the weekend. I pull over my first file from Solidworks. Every thing looks great, I thought I was well on my way to a productive weekend. Then boom I try the mouse wheel to zoom in for my first tool path. I tried forwards & I tried backward then a funny combination of both all it does is Un-Zoom Un-Zoom & more Un-Zoom. I have tried everything I can think of to possibly fix this issue with no resolve. Has anyone experienced this problem, or have any ideas on possible fixes I have tried diver update, Disabled hardware acceleration, Disabled Front buffer, switched from OpenGL to GDI in the software, and a combination of the above mix. I have also tried to Decrease hardware Acc. on the computer settings. Here what Im running OS - Win7 - 64 AMD Athalon X2 3.2 Ghz Dual G-Force 7950 GT Vid cards ( SLI ) Mastercam X4 MU 3 Lathe, Mill3, 5X, Solids Solidworks 2010 Thanks again for any help
  8. I would love to see new features 1) ability to create multiple stock def 2) ability to save a verified model as a solid and set the saved model as a stock the stl translate feature sucks the stl feature is great if you are working with limited steps in your process & your model is not going to move from one operation to the next. When you get 2 or more parts on a tombstone and on every side of the tombstone the part is changing orientation moving a stl becomes very cumbersome and setting a wcs off of the original model does work, but when you verify all goes to hell Mastercam X2 MR2 SP1 MILL 3 SOLIDS (2x) 4/5 AXIS LATHE
  9. Where can I find the MC SDK application I have looked through all of the MC folders, and it dosent seem to be there Is there a location where I can download this application from? Also can this be run on a computer where MasterCAM is not installed ( would like to develop outside of office ) I am running MC X2 with a maintenance sub. Any help here is appreciated Thanks
